Meena has profound hearing loss and was found at a Railway station in Vizag in a deplorable condition. Five years ago, abandoned by her parents, Meena was brought to Suraksha by a local police station. Since then, we have nursed her back to health through love and therapy. Now that her health is much better, Meena attends a speech therapy programme provided by Suraksha administered by a speech pathologist/therapist . Currently Meena is in 8th grade at the government high school in Srikakulam and wants to become a nurse.
